We Who Write
Pontifus
I run this site because I happen to be familiar with more programming languages than human languages, which is the opposite of how it should be, I suppose. I have one degree in English, and I’m working on another (M.A.). After that, maybe I’ll have decided what I want to do when I grow up.
In terms of nerddom, I suppose I’m more deep than broad; I’d rather get a lot out of a few things than a little out of many things. I like pretending to be a fiction writer, my bass guitar (which is named Mandy), literary theory and philosophy, modernism, postmodernism (except when I hate it), speculative fiction, tsundere and fujoshi characters, tsundere and fujoshi people, comedy, suffering, cats, Oxford commas, and you, even though I probably don’t know you. I dislike a lot of things, but let’s not be negative.
If you need to talk to me, or if you’re a stalker, you can contact me via magical interweb mail (superfanicom.{at}.gmail.{dot}.com). I have a personal blog now, where I write posts of the note-taking variety. You might also look for me on MyAnimeList, last.fm, and Twitter.
Kaiserpingvin

^ I.
Student of Theoretical Philosophy Film “Science” in a Nordic university. Adjectives aptly capturing me: Lazy, eclectic, Haruhiist discordianist, manodepressive (stress on depressive), bibliophile, suffering from Continuous Partial Attention (it sounds horrible but it really just means I’ve sat in front of the computer for too long), and a glutton for knowledge. Myers-Briggs INTP is absurdly accurate in describing me (because I have this bad luck of nearly always falling squarely and perfectly into pseudoscientific, unsubstantiated stuff like astrology and similar bull).
To find: MAL, Last.fm, Criticker, Twitter, Goodreads, my mail is on Gmail and the address is Kaiserpingvin. AIM is Kaiserpingvin and MSN is my mail address. Meiosis: I’d be a pretty subpar runner from the justice.
My posts are irregular… But every now and then there will be pictures of hot, drawn, naked scantily clad chicks. Look forward to it. Or not.
lelangir
An undergraduate studying communication & culture (that’s one thing) and sociology. I approached Pontifus during my strange blogless blogging, though I guess things have rapidly changed the few months since then. I like Superfani for its content, a lack of episodic posts and generally thought-provoking entries make nice buffets for thought.
I won’t say I don’t have a specific preference for anime – things have changed, and since I’ve been watching more my tastes have developed. I like political ones, LoGH, Planetes, Infinite Ryvius (to an extent). Long, drawn out epics are fun too – Eureka 7 and the aforementioned LoGH. Generally speaking, I enjoy watching [reading, perhaps] anime that display human struggle in a “realistic” way as to present, first and foremost, the struggle aspect, which indirectly opens up the “human” part for a lot of scrutiny or fanboyism. I think if struggle is realistically displayed, relating to it is a rather easy task, though it may be hard to blog it. Eve no Jikan is another case, though I wouldn’t describe it as epic as E7 or LoGH. Hopefully you’ve gotten a decent glimpse of who I am or ought to be?
You can get me at lelangir[@]gmail[.]com, or read about the entirety of my nexistence at MAL.
Cuchlann
I am presently (June 2009) finished with my third degree in English — an MFA, to be precise. That’s a terminal degree for creative writing, which is what my BA and MA are both in. I am enrolled as a Ph.D. student in English literature for the fall.
It’s telling that I have friends who call me “professor” because I habitually dress in button-down shirts, waistcoats, and nice hats (fedoras, bowlers, and the like). I just enjoy them. I’m a myth-critic, a rare breed among critics today. I like Northrop Frye and Joseph Campbell, along with Nietzsche, Derrida, Booth, Saussure, and others I can’t remember right now. I respect feminism and post-colonialism, but usually don’t engage in much of it myself. Ask lelangir if you want to hear about all that. I’m a uniter, not a divider.
Links for a hungry populace: my personal blog, Goodreads, Last.fm, MAL, Twitter, and Google Reader Shared Items.

I am a life-long (fairly long, since I’ve been watching shows since I was 3 years old back in 1980) fan of animated works, with a very heavy bias towards anime as presently defined, and an even stronger bias towards mecha anime, and an even narrower bias towards the Macross franchise. See the extent of my obsession: MAL
As a writer in the blog medium, I am a fairly recent entrant (October 2008). However, my tentacles have grown long, and lelangiric, or so they say.

My posts here in Superfani are intended to be some of my highest-concept works, as I fancy my self as an innovator (I even got myself a stupid Gundam 00 innovator name: Rabu Loveyou) in the blog medium of writing.
TheKittymeister
TheKittymeister currently resides in the country of Grad School, in the mystical city of Thesis. She often undertakes distracting sidequests, which typically involve journeys to lands of video games, fiction writing and reading, critical writing and reading, movies, anime, and stints in haunted houses when the stars are right. She has regular nightmares about zombie apocalypses, which she mistakenly blames on late-night chips and salsa.
On the internets, TheKittymeister only exists here and on Twitter.
