Super Fanicom Voice Module: Maria†Holic 1

Because no show is complete without cat-eared lolis and caustic maids.

This time, CCY joins the usual Cuchlann-OGT-Pontifus trio as we attempt to wrap our minds around the madness that is Maria†Holic. I like to think we succeeded in part, at least. How does one comment upon a show like this?

On a somewhat related note, this podcast stands alone much better than the others, in my estimation. Watch the episode concurrently, if you like, but know that the effort may rob you of your sanity.

…And, lest I haven’t reminded you enough already, leave us some comments, for only your comments provide us with the eldritch energy we need to survive.

What I’m watching: Winter 2009

By Pontifus on 7 December 2008 | Anime | 3 Comments

I’m taking a break. Not from blogging, for here I am writing to you all, but from the Pontifusian convolution that typically makes my posts what they are (the precise nature of that being a matter of opinion, I guess). I just finished a post about metaphysical causation as it applies (or doesn’t) to Aria, and coming up soon are a post about setting, apocalypse, and Fallout 3, and another that throws Aria, Joyce, and Sartre into a blender just to see what happens (pretentious smoke — don’t breathe this). While I probably have far more fun writing such things than I should, prolonged stints of critical thought have a way of wearing me out.

So this post is simple: I’m going to talk about which winter season shows I’ll be following (and, therefore, about which you might see posts in the future). Albeit seemingly not as mind-blowingly awesome as the season before it, Winter 2009 still gives us a few interesting options with which to occupy our free time.
