I really like show intros.  I really do.  It probably comes from my time staring, wide-eyed (and, in this utopian past we’re constructing in swift, broad strokes here, undoubtedly optimistic and with no concerns for the future…  uh…  well, shit.) at all the 80s intros I love so well when I was a child.  Sometimes an OP will be the thing that actually gets me into a show.  I hadn’t really heard anything about Lucky Star when it came out, but I saw the intro and thought it was really funny, so I checked out the show.  So I had to reserve one of my twelve days for the best OP of 2008.  Now, not only is this subjective, but it concerns itself with openings I saw in 2008, not openings that premiered in 2008.  I may try to talk the folks at Super Fanicom into doing a best-of for 2008, but until then…
