Super Fanicom is a pun nerd media blog.

People have called us a lot of things. Maybe you know us as theoryhackers. Or overanalysts. Maybe you think we write more about our interpretive paradigms than about anime and video games. Maybe you know us as people who aren’t embarrassed of the phrase “interpretive paradigms.”

It doesn’t matter much, really. The BS-X iteration isn’t merely an archive of old material. It should, before the end, bring the new directions I’ve tried to pursue on other blogs into the Super Fanicom fold. We’re still slow, but you can expect a greater diversity of content than before.

It’s hard to generalize about us, as our backgrounds tend to differ significantly. Fewer of us than you’d think are purely literature-types. But we all share a fondness for analysis, for thinking deeply and approaching the things we consume in many different ways. We have a tendency to go on at length about ways of consuming, and sometimes these ways have long names and storied histories, but they’re really nothing more than conditionally useful vocabularies.

We’re just having fun with the things we like. You should, too.
